Leadership by Example, Part 1: a Study on Leadership

Leading by example, Kay Arthur, Precept Ministries

Leaders lead by example more than by dictate.

It’s true whether you are a good leader or a poor one. You are setting the example and people are watching. The question is, what kind of example are you setting? Or, to put it another way, which way are you leading them? Toward God? Or away from Him?

5 Tips For Leading a Bible Study Discussion.

Discovering truth for yourself.

German Bible

What is inductive Bible study?

God’s eternal, inerrant Word is your guidebook for all of life, and inductive study gives you the key to understanding that guide. This study method brings you directly to the Word of God apart from another’s understanding or interpretation of the text. Or to put it another way, inductive Bible study means to use the Bible as your primary source. It is a study of the actual Bible instead of books about the Bible. Now, this is significant. There are a lot of books about the Bible and about ideas found in the Bible. But, Precept’s style of inductive study puts you in the Bible in a way that you engage directly with the text. You might say we help you eliminate the middle man and go directly to the source. That’s why we call it discovering truth for yourself.

You are in a battle.

Whether you realize it or not, you live in the midst of spiritual combat. Your enemy, the devil, is dangerous, destructive and determined to keep you from effectively serving God. In overcoming the enemy you need to know how the enemy operates, and Bible study is your best source of information.

Has it been your desire to read through the Bible?

Perhaps you started with good intentions only to be quickly overwhelmed. This study is designed to help you see the Big Picture in bite sized portions as you methodically walk from Genesis to Revelation.

In relation to God, it's our heart that matters.

The Heart Matters.

Even though it’s not February, and Valentine’s Day is past, love is still in the air. It's spring and love is still the focus for most of us. It is not simply a once a year thing, matters of the heart are always important. And it may sound odd, but in reality when it comes to our relationship with God and our walk in this world, it really is the heart that matters.
