A Call To Prayer Concerning Same Sex Marriage

same sex marriage, Bible, Precept Ministries
This post is NOT from Kay or David Arthur or any member of the Precept Ministries staff. This  was written by a guest blogger, a lawyer with insight and experience into the issue of civil rights.

This is a call to prayer.

But first I need to give you a little backdrop on an issue where I feel the Evangelical church has profoundly failed to be like Jesus Christ in that in John 1:14, He was “full of grace and truth” – this is an issue that we have be lacking on both fronts. Precept Ministries, David Arthur
Political intrigue, economic oppression, racial tension, and rampant immorality. Our society? Yes, but it also describes the Roman Empire during the New Testament period. The Apostle Paul was living in difficult times.

The Roman Empire, where the Apostle Paul lived and was killed for his faith, was morally even worse than the US.  As part of heavy persecution, Christians were brutally burned to light the emperor’s gardens and used as lion bait for entertainment.

Voting for Righteousness, Part 1

Voting for righteousness, prayer, pray, vote

“. . .I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” — 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Eleven years after America had declared her independence delegates from our thirteen states had gathered to create an historic document to unite them under one government. Men who were formerly side-by-side in their battle against England were now at war against each other! These states were anything but “united.”
